One day about a week ago while he was at work, his iphone suddenly rebooted itself without him even touching the phone. after it rebooted, it had decided to reset itself to factory settings, just like it was brand new out of the box and all of his stuff was gone.. Iphone 6 restarting by itself update 9/25 haven't happened to me today. regular usage like yesterday 9/24. going to update to 8.0.2 once i get home. thanks for everyone's input. hopefully just a ios bug that the update will fix.. I recently updated my ios to 9.2.1 a day or two ago. just a few minutes ago, my freaking iphone 6 just spontaneously reset itself to the factory settings and all data was lost!!!.
Reset iphone. hold down the sleep/wake button and the home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the apple logo appears. you can reset the word dictionary, network settings, home screen layout, and location warnings.. See if that solves the problem of your iphone keeps resetting itself. when in doubt, use forced reset this action is the first thing to do if you are having issues on your iphone. for iphone 6s and below, all ipads, and ipod touches, press and hold the home button and the sleep/wake button together for 10 seconds till you see the apple logo appear.. Your iphone keeps restarting and you don’t know what to do. we trust our iphones and they need to work all the time.it would be great if there was a single reason why iphones restart over and over again, but there isn’t a magic bullet for this problem..
